There seem to be some interesting new features to syslinux 1.60!  The
ones I've seen are:

* Graphical splash screen - images converted from PPM format to a
proprietary *.LSS format

* isolinux - boot a CDROM without needing the disk image (!!!)

* Display characters: now you can print text based on whether the
display is Graphics, Text, or Serial.

The first two are the most interesting to me.  What do you all think? 
Has anyone tried it?

Also, has anyone tried PXELINUX?  How does that thing work exactly?
