Charles:
I just realize that my previous post is wrong.
Your suggestion to put 127.0.0.1 is the correct one.
192.168.1.254 is the adress to serve through dhcpd (if
the internal network is running with dynamic IP's) to the
network clients. On the LRP box 127.0.0.1 must be used
for /etc/resolv.conf and dnscache (especially if your are
running tinydns as an internal dns on your LRP box in
which case 192.168.1.254 must be the adress of this
internal DNS)

Just one extra question: there must be some dhclient
option to avoid filling the resolv.conf file with the ISP
DNS adresses: if one is running dnscache on his LRP box
there is really no need to have ISP DNS ase secondary &
tertiary DNS. You will always get a more up to date &
secure information going through dnscache and there no
reason for this program to fail unless some really
serious problems going on (connection pb with your ISP,
hardware pb) in which cases the ISP DNS's would be
useless.
