The PPPd image is a EigerStein2Beta based image so in terms of the actual
firewall script itself ive changed nothing...
Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your view point) the pppd setting
are setup for a constant connection, mostly this is due because in the
majority of the United States the Telecom companies (Baby Bells) offer a
flat rate fee on phone lines so most people setup a second phone line and
dedicate it for internet access....being a US citizen and having a setup
like this, setting up the pppd script in the way I did is basically the only
way I know how.
If you wish to change the scripts behavior read the PPP howto (
http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/docs/HOWTO/other-formats/html_single/PPP-HO
WTO.html )
Also if you (or anyone for that matter) have any suggestions for changes to
the Images I have available please let me know, I usually only hear from
folks only if they have a configuration problem or a complaint (which are
usually recycled, as we Californians where trained to do) ;-)
