Hello,

I am a developer for the LEAF project at http://leaf.sourceforge.net. We are
currently expanding the packages available for LEAF and would like to
include the ucspi-tcp tools as part of that. However we recognize that your
license does not permit us to distribute these tools in binary form after
the end of this year.

LEAF is not a standard distribution, it is meant for thin servers, such as
firewalls, which boot from a floppy, a small hard drive or a Flash drive. As
such it is not distributed with any compilers. For this reason all the
packages we distribute must be in binary form, compiled against the
libraries used by the OS.

As such, under your current license, we will have to remove these packages
at the end of this year at the latest. I see this as a great loss to the
project, and to our goal of implementing the tightest security, and greatest
flexibility, possible.

I'm writing to find your current stance on distribution of your programs by
a project such as LEAF, and if you are planning on changing any of your
licensing terms as this year draws to a close.

I thank you for your time,

Andrew Hoying
