I have compiled cvs 1.11.1p1 on my Debian 2.1 Slink box and am
planning to make an leaf/lrp package. I have a simple minded
question. Where should the executable go? Do we have a Leaf
standard for where to put this sort of thing?

The CVS default is /usr/local/bin, but it doesn't look like we use
that directory in Leaf. On the other hand, maybe that's a good
place for add-ons like cvs. Looking at the stuff already in /bin,
/sbin. /usr/bin. /usr/sbin, it isn't obvious to me where CVS should
go.

Also, I would like to hear from anyone interested in running CVS
under LRP.

I have succeeded in moving my simple-minded web page to a
machine in a DMZ behind a EigerStein2Beta+Seawall router. I
wanted to see if I could get CVS on the LRP server and avoid
having a full-blown Linux to host CVS. It was ridiculously
straightforward since I have an Slink box to compile packages. I'll
even share the secret of how I did it:

./configure
make
make install

That's about it :-)

Tim
