Use the Feed Can By Itself

You can use the feed can by itself as a cheap antenna. It works as well as 
the commercially available "range extender" antenna, but only in one 
direction, and it is so easy to construct!

A couple of the feed cans should have no problem doing a 1000 foot link. 
And they'd be a lot less effort that making a pair of the Yagis.

BTW, have you thought about what kind of cable and what length you are going 
to use?

The mods look simple and straight forward. If you blow it you should turn 
in your sodering iron.
