I suspect a problem with one of several things:
1. dialog
2. libncurses (4 or 5)
This problem occurs if you load the Setup Disk; I've not chased it down
entirely. I strongly suspect there is a problem in using the new
libncurses - I tried to upgrade to libncurses 5. I compiled zile to use
ncurses 5; I think dialog might too, not sure. I went back and
recompiled zile with ncurses 4 (as I had problems in that editor). Then
I put back ncurses 4.
However, these problems do NOT occur if you load with just the main disk
(linux) and then load all the packages on the Setup Disk (!).

This is a problem that popped up every now and then; I don't know if it
was the archive or not, but perhaps that fixed it.

I suspect a SegFault, but it's odd that it hangs and leaves no messages
behind.
