I have made a small fix to the Dachstein-CD LRP distro that makes it "not so dumb" about finding your CD-ROM drive. In the 1.0.1 release that I have, you must edit SYSLINUX.CFG and spec the drive manually, a small change to var/lib/lrpkg/root.dev.mk will symlink the proper (or thereabouts) drive to /dev/cdrom, which No fuss, no muss, seems to work non-dubiously every time, but this patch expects an IDE device of some sort to match, if nothing does, /bin/ln should just fail; if more than one matches, it uses the last one returned. Probably best used as a proof-of-concept, and implemented as the maintainer sees fit.
