Since I have already written code to do this for the diskfree routine --
if only I can complete registration to leaf/sourceforge and publish it!

Actually, I thought of that; but, stopped short, not knowing where you
thought to go and not daring assume that simple sort -- regardless of
incoming order -- of writeable devices was sufficient . . .
