I'm a bit unclear...is the ldd data actually making it into the commit
comments (ie does it show up when browsing the cvs tree), and the only
problem is the e-mail message about the new commit is getting dropped?  If
so, I'd forge ahead as you have been (ie #2, above)...I for one have
disabled e-mail from our CVS commits list pending the stabilization of the
CVS archives with all our packages included.

If I'm mis-understanding the problem, could you provide a bit more info on
exactly what's going wrong?
