This is good to know.  I don't feel it invalidates my point, though.

Development environments for Glibc2.0 exist for 'modern'
distributions.  Your choice to use uClibc was simply that... a choice.

Also, some variants of LEAF are already grappling with the size
vs. compatibility issues of software that requires glibc2.2.  glibc2.0
currently seems to have the best compatibility vs. size combination.
