If you need to send mail from Dachstein, you can use the "mail" command.
First, you must configure /etc/POSIXness.conf with a mail server that
will allow you to relay e-mail (typically the mail server setting
provided by your ISP...something like mail.myisp.com). Then, simply run
the mail command with the appropriate flags. Something like:

ip addr show dev eth0 | mail -s "New IP" [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Note if you don't pipe a message to the mail command (or redirect the
input of mail to a file containing a message), the mail command will
wait for you to type your message at the console. Send an End-Of-File
(<ctrl>-D) when you're done typing the message.
