This message just came through from Dave Cinege on the LRP list. This explains the problems the LRP site was having some time ago. (Traffic is now down to under 1 message per day.)
<message> From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: LRP Subject: [LRP] REQUEST FOR DONATION: Co-lo of U1 box and static IP Benevelent Souls, I couldn't afford the cost to keep my co-lo box running, and killed it 2 months ago. Since then many problems have brought the primary server and the LRP and other email lists down. I'm also running on only 1 DNS server which has been a hell with my rash of recent cable modem problems. (Yes the files @ ftp.linuxrouter.org have vanished several times in the last 2 weeks.) Life was much better with a co-lo acting as priamry DNS and mail relay... Can anyone donate a stable connection and location that I can park a 1U box at? I will need a static IP with rev-res DNS on it. Bandwidth usage is minimal. Directly Outside the USA (Carribean, etc) might be preferable. Dave </message> Mike Sensney Association Services, Inc.
