I'm not a kernel hacker at all, and I only follow the threads when some thing interesting is pointed out (interesting being a relevant term). Can someone explain how the implementation of IPSec into the mainline kernel work? Does it mean that a single kernel will now do the work of the ipsec.lrp (and related packages)? If so, won't that help the project that much more, because then it becomes only a .conf file that has to be created and maintained?
