It seems like this is the week for me to get contacted by users regarding sh-httpd. I've gotten patches from 3 folks so-far, which is prompting me to get off my duff and work on an 0.5 release of sh-httpd.

The patches folks have provided address security issues, portability, and some minor feature enhancements (error logging and the like).

My question for the group is what feature(s) would you like to see most in an updated sh-httpd? On my list of things to add, in approximate order of desireability (which might change if something becomes harder than expected while I'm trying to code it):

1) Support http 1.1 (specifically, connection: keep-alive)

2) Re-work CGI handling to speed up response (ie: eliminate 1s polling of `jobs` to determine when cgi is finished)

3) Add support for POST (yes, there's a patch for this already, but IMHO it at least needs to be tweaked, and possibly re-written...due in no small part to the #2, above)

Speak now, or be prepared to add the code yourself...as you may have noticed, my available time for coding has diminished greatly in recent months. Also, let me know if you have a strong preference for one of the above features...I may not have time to code all 3 features, so it's important for me to know how to prioritize them.
