Hi, First of all, we have used gcc 3.2.3 and glibc 2.3.2, superfreeswan 1.99.8 on a Gentoo 1.4 system.
We have downloaded a vanilla 2.4.24 kernel, applied the patches and compiled. This is the error we get: ***** types -Wno-trigraphs -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -march=i386 -DMODULE -DMODVERSIONS -include /usr/src/linux-2.4.24/include/linux/modversions.h" MAKING_MODULES=1 modules make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.24/arch/i386/mm' make[2]: Nothing to be done for `modules'. make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.24/arch/i386/mm' make -C arch/i386/lib CFLAGS="-D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-2.4.24/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wno-trigraphs -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -march=i386 -DMODULE -DMODVERSIONS -include /usr/src/linux-2.4.24/include/linux/modversions.h" MAKING_MODULES=1 modules make[2]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.24/arch/i386/lib' make[2]: Nothing to be done for `modules'. make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.24/arch/i386/lib' make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.24' utils/errcheck out.kbuild ***ERRORS DETECTED in out.kbuild (examine file for details): /usr/src/linux-2.4.24/include/linux/hp_sdc.h:288:2: #error No support for device registration on this arch yet. /usr/src/linux-2.4.24/scripts/mkdep -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux-2.4.24/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wno-trigraphs -O2 -fno-strict-aliasing -fno-common -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe -mpreferred-stack-boundary=2 -march=i386 -I/usr/src/linux-2.4.24/drivers/scsi -Werror -nostdinc -iwithprefix include -- aic7770.c aic7770_osm.c aic79xx_core.c aic79xx.h aic79xx_inline.h aic79xx_osm.c aic79xx_osm.h aic79xx_osm_pci.c aic79xx_pci.c aic79xx_proc.c aic79xx_reg.h aic79xx_reg_print.c aic79xx_seq.h aic7xxx_93cx6.c aic7xxx_93cx6.h aic7xxx_core.c aic7xxx.h aic7xxx_inline.h aic7xxx_osm.c aic7xxx_osm.h aic7xxx_osm_pci.c aic7xxx_pci.c aic7xxx_proc.c aic7xxx_reg.h aic7xxx_reg_print.c aic7xxx_seq.h aiclib.c aiclib.h cam.h queue.h scsi_iu.h scsi_message.h > .depend make: *** [kernel] Error 1 ************ After this, the compilation just stops. :( Regards. -- Jaime Nebrera - [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now.
