For Bering 1.2 this is with reason, busybox-0.60.4 used in this version has a bug with df, so Jacques made a workaround for it. There is a small df script in root.lrp which contains the workaround, but this scripts needs to be backuped ofcourse. That's why it's removed from root.bb.links.
For Bering-uClibc we upgraded to busybox-1.0 (pre), this version already has a fix for df. In Bering-uClibc's root.bb.links there is an entry for df.
