Hi, everyone. I've got a terribly newb question about building the HostAP driver(s) for Bering-uClibc2.x series.
I've got a Dlink DWL-520E.1, and I've discovered that it won't run at all on bering out-of-the-box. Luckily, I've been gathering resources according to Andrew Barr's fine page at: http://home.columbus.rr.com/andrewbarr/dwl520e1.html ...where I find that I need to compile the latest hostap driver, the prism2_srec firmware loader, and acquire the station firmware itself. Okee. Now, here's the newb part: although I don't want to build a *.lrp package (yet), I just want to GET IT TO WORK, and I'm not sure how to begin the process. I've got another box I can use, running Debian-Woody, that I've done some other compiling on - but I'm still a rank amateur. Question: how do I build all the necessary HostAP binaries on this other machine against uClibc/the correct kernel, etc., etc? Your help, as always, is tremendously appreciated. -joe. -- ___________________________________________________________ Sign-up for Ads Free at Mail.com http://promo.mail.com/adsfreejump.htm ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Oracle 10g Get certified on the hottest thing ever to hit the market...
