Yes. We have a lot to talk about. I have begun coding again. We
should talk before things get out of hand... ;-)

I took a look at it as well. The changes to cdb were indeed minor,
having to do with the hierarchy delimiter. Of course, since tmpl was in
such an egregiously awful state when I left it, a completely different
approach was taken. Perhaps we should discuss this a little, since I
have started up work on tmpl again.

The changes committed this weekend had to do with enhanced array
handling and checkpoint/commit/rollback capability. I will go into them
a bit more when a get a bit of time to document them.

Until then, I'd like to get some ideas from folks on templating.
Basically, the idea is to have a tool to generate text files (or output,
such as html) from cdb variables using an abstract templating language.

The problem is, basically, that the existing tools I know of are written
in perl or C++, both of which are too large for our purposes. I have
taken a stab at a stack-oriented recursive implementation in /bin/sh,
but as Eric said, it is extraordinarily difficult to debug and extend.
I think I can make it work, but I am not sure it is worth it unless
folks think this is the way to go.

We may need to revisit this concept. For now, just give me your
thoughts. Let's whiteboard this puppy.

Thanks,
Chad
