Thanks for the pointers, Mike. 

For the record, I found that quanta+ gave me a workable solution... 
XXE Std Ed. (20 August 2004 version) gave me java errors, and I didn't want to 
have to re-teach my fingers emacs. :-)  Yeah, I'm lazy.
