Hi Oliver,

I found more errors buildung buc from source using buildtool.
I hope you can fix these errors too. Syslinux is working fine now.

While downloading the sources I get the following errors:
 - knockd-0.4.tar.gz -> 404 file not found
Should be fixed now (againg, with the warning that any change we do takes a while to move to ViewCVS - it was simply a typo in buildtool.cfg, referencing knockd-0.4.tar.gz instead of knockd-0.4.tgz)

- lpthread -> wrong directory (lpthread) in sources.cfg
Fixed in CVS

 - mysql-4.0.21.tar.gz -> error while decompressing archive
 - snort-2.2.0.tar.gz -> error while decompressing archive
"error while decompressing archive" is usually caused by ViewCVS acting strangely. The tarballs are perfectly fine, it's simply a download issue (one that comes and goes, unfortunately).
To get around this, simply remove mysql-4.0.21.tar.gz and snort-2.2.0.tar.gz from sources/whatever and try again. Not a perfect solution, but since we have no control over the reliability of the services sourceforge provides, we have to live with it.

The following packages could not be build:
 - ntp
works for me*

- daemontools
works for me

- keepalived
works for me (even though that setup is still somewhat broken - it spits out _tons_ of warnings )

- djbdns
works for me

- samba
I won't even try ;-)

- mini_httpd
should be fixed in CVS now

- pump
works for me

- wshaper
should be fixed in CVS now

*works for me means that it compiles without errors on my box. The fact that it doesn't build on your box is most likely due to one of these things:
- we didn't get all the dependencies right (meaning, the only reason it builds on my system is because I luckily built something else, that this package relies on, first)
- some of your files are corrupt (with the amount of errors I've been getting latel, it cannot be not completely rules out that some problems are connected to that)
- your host system is missing some tools that we didn't realize were needed (quite possible)

Which version of JAVA JDK do I need to install to comple lrpstat?
You need a "classes.zip" from a 1.1 JDK, plus a 1.4 or greater JDK to compile it. If somebody feels like fixing this mess (without turning lrpStat into something that will only run with the Java Plugin - read, will not run with the native VM that comes with Internet Explorer or old Netscape versions - I'll happily accept patches). For now, I guess one can consider it broken, and comment it out in conf/sources.cfg

I hope that helps.

Martin
