Hey Eric & all,

That is a good idea :-)

I have an idea using the existing CD stuff and just, for the "Leafix"
CD,automatically load the hdsupp.lrp (since this allready contain
fdisk, syslinux and mkfs.msdos) as well as a new "usbsupp.lrp" package.
OR
we could change the current initrd_ide_cd to contain the need USB drivers.
Then we just need to load the hdsupp.lrp package.

The nice thing about Knoppix is the device autodetection, and the ease of use for non linux people, something which is difficult to achieve when you start with a LEAF distro. I _believe_ one could strip down Knoppix sufficiently to be of acceptable size for download, build a little code to generate the LEAF image. Then we would have one single distributable object which might satisfy most people.

cheers

Erich
