It seems that the smallest available commercial card is trancend 1Gb 
industrial. That is to big for any download.

Your, Martins and my own experience together with what I have read convinced me 
the best solution is not to solve how to 
make disk image that will work.
When I realized the problem with ioctrl I started to look for an other solution.

PXE seems to the way to go.
I use PXE for installing and most people don't have that infrastructure.

It's very easy once you have it running.
A Bering-uclib  running in a virtual environment should work.
That way anyone could deploy a PXE-server.
Should be as easy as downloading an image and starting an emulator.
After installation you have to reconfigure some stuff.
