Hi all,

elvis-tiny (1.4-22) binary segfault on my platform for "big" file. Ex if i try
to open /var/log/kern.log (62ko) and do 2 x CTRL-F it segfault
I have compiled a 1.4-23 version, it's a little better but segfault also. It is
known that elvis-tiny have a lot of bug.
I have compiled also an elvis (not tiny) 2.2 version and it works without
segfaulting but it's bigger than tiny version:
elvis-tiny: 67Ko
elvis: 542Ko
I have also compiled a tiny version of vim that work great and is a little
bigger than elvis:
vim: 559Ko

So my questions are:
* Is elvis-tiny segfault also on your platform (Bering 5.1 alpha1) ?
* if yes perhaps it's better to replace elvis-tiny with elvis ?

We can propose all sort of editors. For the vi compatible editor i propose to
have that:

* e3vi: for very little embedded system where the size is the main concern
* busybox vi: likewise e3vi
* elvis (not tiny): for a mix between e3vi/busybox and vim
* a full features vim (2Mo): for a complete vi editor

Why do you think of this ?

Regards,
Yves
