I believe we should think about the way modules are loaded. I have the
distinct feeling that we are overloading initmod. I believe the modules
present in initmod are loaded if they are/can be used or not. This is
debatable. Then, do we really need specific pata drivers to just load moddb?

I am wondering now if I should just ignore such errors during upgrade,
issue a warning and hope the user understands the problem or if there is
a minimal setting which makes the board survive a reboot.

BTW

Why do we install e100 firmware on geode?
