I can't think of any documentation, off the top of my head,
but what you need is to load IDE support before trying to
load ide-cd support.

You should be more specific as to how it's failing.

I don't know about the second question. Maybe you'll have
to write a short script that mounts the CD and uses the
lrpkg -i command to load the packages.
