Hi,
I'm running matterhorn-eth-eth 2.2.13 that I got from Steinkueler's site in
march.
Recently, it stopped coming up cleanly with the following (relevant)
messages:
.
.
.
DHCPDISCOVER on eth0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interval 4
receive_packet failed on eth0: Network is down
DHCPOFFER from 24.1.240.70
DHCPREQUEST on eth0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67
DHCPACK from 24.1.240.70
RTNETLINK answers: Network is unreachable
.
.
.
This machine has been running fine for months until this happened. In fact,
I stumbed across this when I tried to reboot after coming back from a 2 week
trip.
My first thought was hardware so I tried it on another machine with the same
results. I was able to connect one of my NT machines directly to the cable
modem and everything worked fine. My ISP (cox@home) claims there have been
no changes to their dhcp servers, but I don't believe them.
Any thoughts?
