I'm also having what is probably some pretty simple trouble getting
parallel zip support to work with the eigerstein+ide+ipsec from charles'
site. I think this is more solidly in the realm of simple conceptual
issues than anything else.
A recent howto suggests installing scsi.o, sd_mod.o, parport.o,
parport_pc.o, and a third bit to get this to work. I can't find a
precompiled scsi.o... should it be obvious, or do I need to compile the
kernel modules myself to make one? (Everything else I try to install is
missing some fundamental-looking symbol or other.)
Another note in the mailing list indicated that you needed to compile in
scsi support to your kernel, but I've seen indications contradicting
that... Advice for where to start would be appreciated.
