The reason Kenneth removed dnscache was when the isp changed the ip,
dnscache hung.

If you use Charles' dnscache you need to edit /etc/dnscache.conf
and removing the comment on the second line and commenting
out the Eiger variable $EXTERN_IP.
# This should normally be your external IP address
#IPSEND=$EXTERN_IP
IPSEND=0.0.0.0

do a svi dnscahe stop
svi dnscahe reload

make sure you backup dnscache.lrp to the floppy.

Jaques Nilo has some newer versions of dnscache on the leaf site that
already have this fixed in his scripts.

You can also change /etc/network.conf to make 192.168.1.254 as you dns
instead of your isps machine.
