I think the following is the correct syntax...

#!/bin/ash
cat <<EOF | mnc 192.168.100.4 25
HELO
MAIL FROM:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
RCPT TO:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
DATA
blabla
.
QUIT
EOF
-----
... but you probably ought to use one of the mail scripts out there to
properly conform to the prompting of the smtp protocol and report errors..
Charles has one at his website... or there might already be one on your
disk.
