Hi! I just got a weird problem which seemed to have been caused by a lost of Internet connection earlier today...
Both my primary and secondary DNSes which sit behing my ES2B (but with updated kernel (2.2.19) and extended scripts (& a few mods of my own)) stopped resolving after that lost of connection... I never had to restart my DNSes after a change of IP address (which is something which had to be done in the past when I was using dnscache (at the time the possibility of using 0/0 instead of the ip address in its startup script was not well known)) so I was surprised I had to do it this time... For one of them I tried restarting it and it started to work but for the other one what I did was restart (reboot...) the firewall (which gave me yet another ip address) and this also did work (so I guess the problem was not in the ip address change but in something else...)... Any suggestions as to what might have caused this problem??? BTW, what I do when my ip address change is essentially execute 'svi network ipfilter reload'... Thanks for any info!
