Hi,

I have setup my router and first connected a Win98 machine to it. It's
configured to obtain it's IP dynamically. It always get's 192.168.1.1

Everything works great.

Now I got my laptop from work and also want to connect this to the router.
Plugged in my HUB and booted, but the problem this one is using Win2000.

At work this one also logs in to a network.

I logged in like normally and tried Explorer, it doesn't work.

Then I tried ping this works perfectly, even with dns (for example our
friends site www.detrekkers.com)

Look at ipconfig, the following

IP-adres . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.2
Subnetmasker . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Standaardgateway . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.254

So the computer gets it's IP from the DHCP server and I can ping.

What am I doing wrong? IExplorer has the same settings as on my Win98 box.

Find IExplorer settings automatically checked
Use auto config script checked @ adres http://proxy:8080

What is my problem?

Other thing, not LRP specific, more win2000:

@work I login - user =  myname
                domain =  myworksdomain

Can I make another user/domain from the time my laptop is at home? Also that
my mail program and Explorer have different settings??? Can this be done
easily?

Thanks,

Joris
