WARNING: I'm going to be switching my firewall from a static-NAT DMZ to proxy-arp, which will likely create periodic interruptions in the availbility of my web server. You might want to check the SF mirror if my site is unresponsive: http://leaf.sourceforge.net/devel/cstein/files/diskimages/dachstein/ The main change is bugfixes in the new firewall scripts. I have now verified static-NAT DMZ functionality with the new scripts (no hand-editing of ipfilter.conf required for spoof protection!). Other notes from the changelog: ---------- Changes from pr3 to pr4: ---------- firewall scripts modified/enhanced: changed ALL imap references to imap2, and added imap alias in /etc to boot! fixed several bugs preventing proper operation of static NAT DMZs minor fixes for bash shell (firewall scripts now work with ash or bash) ---------- Next, I'm planning on switching my own DMZ to proxy-arp, testing that part of the firewall scripts, and I'll be making modifications to the backup and init scripts, allowing the floppy disk and CD distributions to share the same base code.
