By default, the system boots from CD, and stores any required config information on a floppy (or other writable media...flash/HDD/&c OK too). If you want, once you get the system configured, you can make full backups of your configured packages, and burn a custom CD that boots into *YOUR* firewall, but there's no need to do this if you don't want...
