Pete,

Sorry I've taken a while to answer, but I was away for the holiday.

First, just to clarify, my kernel and modules are not really Dachstein;
indeed, kernels are pretty much distribution independent, and I'm
running 2.2.19 on a fairly heavily modified EigersteinBETA base, but I'm
goad to hear that people are using them on Dachstein.

I have't tried to get the wireless stuff working on my router; I stick
to my tried and true LinkSys 10MBt cards, which work fine. Here's the
relevant portion of my lsmod:

Module Pages Used by
pcnet_cs 10676 2
8390 5876 0 [pcnet_cs]
ds 6624 0 [pcnet_cs]
i82365 21792 2
pcmcia_core 39196 0 [pcnet_cs ds i82365]

and my /etc/modules:

pcmcia_core
i82365
ds
# these are loaded by cardmgr:
#pcnet_cs
#8390
...

You've probably solved all this by now, at least I hope so, although I
question why one would want to use a wireless interface in a
firewall.... I use wireless inside my house net (protected by the
firewall) but not on the firewall itself.

Anyway, good luck and I hope that it is working for you now and that
you're hard at work on that HOWTO...

Richard
