> First, i like to thank Charles Steinkuehler and Kenneth Hadley for the
excellent piece of engineering on the Dachstein PPPoE. I've been using
Eigerstein and now Dachstein for about 7 satisfying months. I'm now using
the latest Dachstein PPPoE floppy image from Kenneth Hadley and have opened
ftp access port forwarded to an internal machine. I've come across a
problem recently. When i lost my connection from my ISP and then regained
the connection i wasn't able to get a connection to the ftp server anymore
from the outside. Further investigating the problem i did a 'net ipfilter
list' on Dachstein, it showed that the local address had my old ip which was
forwarding to my internal machine which for ftp access. Why isn't the list
updated with my new ip address or is there something wrong with my
configuration thats causing this problem? Thanks for any info.

You need to re-load the firewall rules if you get a new IP. I've got hooks
in the dhclient scripts for users on DHCP based dynamic IP's, but currently
there's nothing in the PPPoE scripts that does this.

Anyone know how to setup the ppp scripts to re-load the firewall rules when
the PPPoE connection's IP changes?
