I've not run into these problems personally, but I've seen a lot of folks have MTU problems on the FreeS/WAN list. Even though you can't run IPSec, you might want to browse the list archives for MTU related problems... IIRC, some things you might want to check: - Make sure you're allowign ICMP through your firewalls. While it's OK to block re-direct messages, if you dump all ICMP, you'll be missing dropped packet notifications and MTU exceeded messages - You can sometimes fix things by forcing the MTU on the VPN Gateway. - Probably several other things I've forgotten, since I haven't run into MTU problems yet...
