Hello, can someone tell me where I am going wrong with my Compact flash setup. I am trying to install Bering rc2 on a Sandisk 32mb CF card, I have tried to follow the instructions in the Bering HowTo but keep running into the same problems. I have created a working floppy image, Changed Syslinux.cfg so that BOOT and PKGPATH seek /dev/hda1, declared the IDE modules ide-mod.o, ide-disk.o and ide-probe-mod.o in initrd. Installed the modules in /lib/modules and backed up all files. I ran syslinux on the compact flash and have copied all the files to it. When I try to boot though I get a lot of insmod errors:
<SNIP> insmod : /lib/modules/2.4.18 : No such file or directory insmod : /lib/modules : No such file or directory insmod : ide-mod.o : No module by that name found insmod : /lib/modules/2.4.18 : No such file or directory insmod : /lib/modules: No such file or directory insmod : ide-disk.o No module by that name found insmod : /lib/modules/2.4.18 : No such file or directory insmod : /lib/modules : No such file or directory insmod : ide-probe-mod.o No module by that name found Mounting a 6M filesystem... end_request : I/O error, dev 02:00 (floppy), sector 0 end_request : I/O error, dev 02:00 (floppy), sector 0 end_request : I/O error, dev 02:00 (floppy), sector 0 LINUXRC : Could not mount the boot device. Can't install packages. Kernel panic : Attempted to kill init! <SNIP> Do I have to declare the modules somewhere else ?
