Hi, I was wondering what I needed to do (assuming its even possible) to get Dachstein to act as a DNS server strictly for name to IP resolution of nodes on the LAN.
If I have some computers (Windows, Mac, and maybe even Mandrake Linux) getting assigned IP addresses via DHCP, can the LEAF server do this? Do I need to adjust the hostname/domain setting on the Windows machines, or do something on the LEAF machine? So my question is, if I can use LEAF as a DNS server, is it set up through the client nodes (setting their host names) or the server side? If there is a howto or something already written on the subject, please point me to it. Thanks. Alan _______________________________________________________________ Have big pipes?
