Serial support has been well documented throughout the mailing list. First off, I might try using a real serial console. I use securecrt (w/ serial support) it works really well. Secondly.. I think the first problem might be the fact that there is not serial support by default. You will need either to grab the serial.o file and load it with the other modules (although you won't see kernel boot messages, or you will need to grab a linux kernel w/ serial support compile in. And lastly, just try reading the docs

I would really love some help with two things: Is there any way to suppress the "NET: # messages suppressed" messages that come on my LRP box? I am trying just about everything I can find in documentation to allow my LRP (on a single floppy) to allow me to console into it through a serial cable. It is not working for me "echo "hello" > /dev/ttyS0" sends nothing to my Hyperterminal. I would REALLY REALLY appreciate any help. Thanks guys. _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm ------------------------------------------------------------------------ leaf-user mailing list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user SR FAQ: http://leaf-project.org/pub/doc/docmanager/docid_1891.html _______________________________________________________________ Don't miss the 2002 Sprint PCS Application Developer's Conference August 25-28 in Las Vegas -- http://devcon.sprintpcs.com/adp/index.cfm ------------------------------------------------------------------------ leaf-user mailing list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user SR FAQ: http://leaf-project.org/pub/doc/docmanager/docid_1891.html
