I am running Bering rc2 with ppp dial on demand. I have two teens that are
using Instant Messaging (both AOL and MSN). Is there a way to block this
only during certain times? (Like 12:30am to 5:30am - they need to get their
sleep.)

Right now I use cron to stop ppp during those hours but that can interfere
with some long running downloads that I like to start just before beadtime.
I'd also like to keep this policy in place if I can ever get cable or DSL.

What are the ports that AOL and MSN use for IM? How would I do this with
shorewall?

Thanks,
JamesS
