The cron included in Dachstein is the "real deal", and will do all the fancy stuff cron on a full disto will. In other words, you can have per-user cron-tabs in /var/spool/cron/crontabs/. You should be able to create a new user specifically for running your blind software, with a crontab that's writable by sh-httpd. See the man pages for cron (8) and crontab (1 and 5), as well as the LEAF FAQ for how to add users, and general linux info on administering permissions for users & groups.
