Well, this is a little late in the thread, but if you would use ipchains w/a 2.2.x kernel, PacketFilter supports ppp dial-in and dial-out connections..... I think it might even support a redundant dial-out connection if a xDSL/cable-modem connection fails (check Serges docs in /devel/scaron). You could also get any dial-up packages from his image that would work with Dachstein. The PacketFilter configuration is much different than any other version of LEAF and runs on first boot (very nice).
