I've just tried out dachstein-CD for the first time (after using eigerstein for a long while). Just a dream and nice to have a full bash prompt and the rest... :-)
Few quick questions: - which package backs up the directory "/root"? After setting up the backup options, I've tried local, root and etc with no luck... I would like to backup the /root/.profile... - i'm using DHCP for the first time and my syslog is filling with routine dhcp traffic. for convenience, i'd like dhcpd to log to a separate file in /var/log. having read the syslog.conf and dhcpd man pages, i can't work out how to do this without redirecting all LOG_DAEMON traffic in the syslog. my unix inexperience! could someone please suggest a solution? - previously i've used jacques nilo's packaging of dnscache (with the daemontools package too) on eigerstein. with the default dnscache package from charles' DCD iso, the dnccache package promises to use multilog /var/log/dnscache but no log file is created. the cache process is running but there is nt log file (and no state info) that i can find in /var. any suggestions? Thanks for your help and congrats to Charles and contibutors for a beautiful firewall happy thing. :-) matt -- -- Matt Brennan || classForge Pty Ltd || 0403 355 602 -- ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Oh, it's good to be a geek. http://thinkgeek.com/sf ------------------------------------------------------------------------ leaf-user mailing list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user SR FAQ: http://leaf-project.org/pub/doc/docmanager/docid_1891.html
