Positive Comments:

a) It is nice to see someone trying to exercise Linux and showing
performance data.

b) They do include references to LEAF and Charles' website.

Not so positive:

c) They describe an O(N^2) ipchains forwarding configuration, forwarding
from every net to every net, while omitting the routing configuration.
Most firewall configurations can get by with a much simpler ipchains
forwarding configuration. I think this could make ipchains look
unattractive to people familiar with networking but not with Linux.

d) They claim to offer a comparison with a Cisco, but choose to only
report the performance of the LRP. With only one 100Mbps NIC the 2620 is
clearly outmatched, but this should be emphasized more, and perhaps a more
comparable Cisco should be mentioned.

e) I have heard of people doing VOIP and various routing protocols with
LRP, but it seems to be a very cutting-edge, researchy stuff... not well
documented and straightforward. I think their presentation is a bit
glossy on these points. (Disclaimer: I have no applications where I would
use these features, so this comment is only based on surfing and reading
questions on the subject here.)

f) They haven't measured the impact of larger ipchains rulesets intended
for firewalling. This configuration is for routing only.
