Howdy. I want to get digitally signed dynamic DNS updates working from my LEAF "Bering" 1.0-rc3 PPPoE Internet gateway machine.
I see that there's an ezipupd.lrp, which is nice, but that only does plaintext DNS updates over HTTP, to certain set dynamic DNS provider servers (which I'm not using). I'm going to be using this DNS data in a hosts.allow file to allow SSH logins to a critical server sitting on the Internet, so I want to use dynamic DNS updates with TSIG signing (see <http://www.shakabuku.org/writing/dyndns.html> for a good discussion of the two methods). Besides ezipupd.lrp, there's djbutils.lrp, dnscache.lrp, and tinydns.lrp, but unless I missed something, these don't provide tools for TSIG-signed dynamic DNS updates either. Has anyone ever compiled the nsupdate tool (from the BIND distro -- see <http://www.isc.org/>) for Bering (or other LEAF/LRP variants)? I searched the mailing list archives and didn't find any mentions of this... I've verified that nsupdate on a normal Linux distro does what I need -- now if only I had a version compiled for LEAF... -- Dan Harkless [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://harkless.org/dan/ ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf ------------------------------------------------------------------------ leaf-user mailing list: [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/leaf-user SR FAQ: http://leaf-project.org/pub/doc/docmanager/docid_1891.html
