Hi,

I have been running a Bind server in a Dachstein controlled proxy DMZ
zone for a couple of years now and everything has been working fine. I
now want to setup another network using Bering 1.0rc2 but I can't use
proxy DMZ because I only have 2 static IP to play with. Consequently, my
understanding is that I need to setup a split horizon DNS to allow
access to the DMZ (using private IPs) from the local network. I though
about doing it with TinyDNS/DNSCache on the Bering firewall but I also
need to update Bind servers doing the secondary hosting. The update
script for TinyDNS, dnsnotify, is a perl script and thus won't run on
Bering unless I install Perl. How do users addressed this problem? Is
running Bind in the private DMZ the preferred approach?

Thanks,
Stephen
