Many thanks Kim. That was the trick! I had commented out the entire eth1
and wlan0 interface.

Could I trouble you for a little more help.

I am running the SMB-2B.LRP, following the "Printing How To" on LEAF. I can
print local and see the Workgorup and Server, but I cann't attach to the
server. I have check all smbd and nmbd logs (set debug level to 3) and I
still can't see anything wronge. The correct ports are open 'cause
shorewall isn't giving warnings. Could I get a copy of your samba.conf? I
have tried all the things I could find in the samba.org site for openning
shares and printers to 'guest' accounts...

If possible I'd love to get a copy of your Leaf Distribution. I have an FTP
site if you would be so nice. I was hoping to place mine there, but I don't
think anyone would want one that doesn't work;)

I have just set up an almost identical environment.
Just a tad bit more difficult because it used pppoe to go out instead of
eth0.

Your problem with shorewall not responding is probably because something
is wrong with your routing table.

So to fix this you should bring up all of your interfaces and
the bridge in the interfaces file. Make sure your
eth1 & wlan 0 don't have an ip address. The only interface needing
an ip address is the br0 (bridge interface).

Don't forget to make sure that dhcpd uses br0 to distribute addresses
and make the necessary adjustments to shorewall so that br0 is being
masquereaded
and so on.

If you need more detailed help just ask.
