Probably not the best workaround, but you can

 cat /proc/net/netstat

to get the raw data.  There's also a netstat.lrp listed in
http://leaf.sourceforge.net/pub/packages-list.txt at
http://leaf-project.org/devel/ddouthitt/packages/netstat.lrp .
IIRC, it works fine with Bering.
