Thanks for the information, I had it running in the meantime, had to dig
through a heap of nonsense on the net though. I could not find the exact
information needed for config.opts easily.

I have a little suggestion for the pcmcia support. Do you think it might be
a good thing to keep small fragments of config.opts in the download area or
the documentation (the information you mailed me) to be included in the
config.opts file if needed. Not everyone has the necessary skills to find
this information easily and it might make life easier for others. I suggest
to keep little config fragments under the exact name of the pcmcia board
along with a little description of driver dependencies. Unfortunately I had
2 cards which were both supposedly unsupported d-link de-660+ (works like a
simple de-660) and the aforementionned Xircom card.

It might make life easier for others if we documented a way to find a out
how to get to the necessary information. I don't know if my method works
for all cases but basically I copied (and modified) the information found
in the syslog file to the config.opts file. Then it was guesswork to find
the necessary drivers for the card. There must be a better way to find the
correct drivers.

Thanks for bearing with me and for the info. I will gladly pass the info
for my two pcmcia cards to the list to be scrutinized. Please let me know
what you think.

A un de ces jours
